When shooting close up here are some points to consider to make your photo picture perfect!
Depth of Field - With close up shots the depth of view, or the area in focus, is very small because just the close up subject is in focus. The background is usually soft and blurry.
Movement - When shooting at close range any movement can blur the image. Whether the butterfly you are shooting shifts and flys away or you can't hold your camera still, either way it will be blurry. The best way to fix this is to use a tri-pod or shoot from further away with a good zoom lens.
The working distant -- The space between the camera and the subject is very important. You're probably not gonna be able to get right next to a butterfly with out it flying away, or it would be rude to get right in someones face to take a close up shot. So again you can use a zoom lens.
Automatic flash exposure -- when shooting up close overexposure is probably going to happen with an automatic flash. The flash is too harsh or quick for the close up subject. Changing the flash settings or switching it to manual can help combat this problem!
So use these tips to help with you close up photography! Have fun with it!

The two tricks I really like and would like to do are these:
But if there is no sun or i would try to do this one:
For the first pic i would take my duct tape sword made for latin class and lay in on it standing up on it side on a desk or shelf. Then someone would sit maybe about a foot or 2 in front of the shelf (depending on their height) so that the sword would appear to be going though the head. Then i would stand like 10 - 20 feet back further and take the pic level to the shelf.
For the second one i will need the sun to be at a good level so that people can put their hands in the sun to look like they are forming a solar beam!!!! then the other person would jump backwards. for this one to work i would have to have a good motion camera. i would stand probs about 30 away to take the pic. It would probably take quite a few times to get the right angles and jumping motion.
For the 3rd pic if need i would have someone sit on the brick wall on the side of the school near mr. fitz room and hunch their shoulders so there head was not visible. then the other person would stand on the ground below the wall with just there head resting on the wall. the 1rst person would then put their hand on the others head. I would have to be standing about 20 - 30 feet away and holding the camera near the ground so that the first persons neck or head wouldn't be visible.
Here Are My Trick Pics!
